
How can youth workers help young people notice and prevent discrimination? Why do gender, racial and religious stereotypes affect our attitude towards others? How can young people learn to break stereotypes?

How young people can advocate for equal opportunities both for women and men? Could youth help to integrate displaced people in their communities? Are civic activists able to contribute to creating more workplaces?

“To make democracy work, we must be a nation of participants, not simply observers”, - stressed American writer Louis L'Amour. 20 youth workers from all regions of Ukraine took part in the three-day training "Participatory Democracy", held this weekend in Kyiv.

Twelve teams of young semi-finalists from different regions of Ukraine presented their innovation ideas during the U-Inn Pitching Day, held in Kyiv November 25. They were all participants in the Youth Innovation Challenge U-Inn, encouraging young people to develop innovative initiatives to improve the respect of human rights and strengthening democracy in Ukraine at the local level.

27 November, Kharkiv: Over 100 youth workers from all over Ukraine came together at the UNDP-supported First All-Ukrainian Youth Workers’ Forum to promote and acknowledge the effective forms of cooperation and networking among youth workers in Ukraine.

Ukraine has received 200 recommendations on improving the human rights situation within the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) at the UN Human Rights Council.
