
On the 30th of August, UN marks an International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances. An increase in the number of disappeared persons is unavoidable during military conflicts. Every state has procedures for searching for disappeared persons during peaceful time, which are usually ineffective in extreme situations, such as a military conflict.

Kyiv, 10-12 August 2017 – Civic education empowers youth to be well-informed, active citizens, engaged in policy-making and democratic governance. The Survey on Civic Literacy that was conducted by UNDP in July-September 2016, proved the importance of strengthening civic education in Ukraine.

Under the Civil Society for Enhanced Democracy and Human Rights project, UNDP is launching a call for applications for organizational development grants.

Kyiv, 26 May 2017 – The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) and UNDP in Ukraine held a multi-stakeholder meeting to present a draft methodology developed for NACP to review whether legislation contains any corruption risks.
