Launching the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption: an expert hard-talk

24 April 2015, Kyiv – Transparency International Ukraine with the support of UNDP, IRF and the EU Delegation hosted an expert discussion "Three days prior to the Law: What should be done to jumpstart the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption?" Leading anti-corruption civic experts, representatives of the government and international stakeholders discussed the first steps in launching this new anti-corruption institution and possible challenges in its set-up.

All-Ukrainian tour of the Reanimation Package of Reforms: Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kryvyi Rih

15-17 April - With the support of UNDP and other partners, the Reanimation Package of Reforms initiative (RPR) continues its "Reforms en Route" all-Ukrainian tour, presenting their findings on the adoption and implementation of urgent reforms for the country. This time, RPR experts visited Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Kryvyi Rih, having meetings with journalists, City Council and Regional State Administration officials, community activists, and students.

Visualizations empower citizens to make sense of open city budgets

City budgets have been known as some of the most cumbersome local level policy documents to read and interpret. Thanks to the software stemming from the Open Budget project (supported by UNDP and Internews Network) local journalists, civic activists, and just curious citizens have better ways of accessing financial information through interactive infographics. They also may find out what is going on in the financial year at this point of time or is in the immediate plans.

Human rights monitoring training for civil society representatives in Ukraine

Newly adopted Open Data Law propels Ukraine into the digital age

A new law adopted by the parliament will make open data even more ubiquitous and accessible, making the lives of millions of Ukrainians easier.

The situation for freedom of expression in Crimea

9 April, Kyiv – UNIAN news agency hosted a press conference on the topic "What can we do to protect freedom of speech in Crimea?" to discuss the situation for freedom of expression on the peninsula and the facts of pressure on the media. Representatives of human rights organizations and Ukrainian authorities told what is being done to counter the destruction of independent media in Crimea.
