New Initiatives on Civil Society Development in Regions

 The Association for the Promotion of Self-Organization of the Population has launched a new project “Public support for the implementation of the National Strategy for Civil Society Development 2016-2020 at the Regional Level”.

On October 5, a meeting of representatives of the Association and regional experts of the project took place in Kyiv. The participants got acquainted with the main stages of the project implementation, the tasks and components of the project's methodology, which includes: analysis of the activities of the regional advisory bodies on the promotion of civil society development (regional coordination councils); analysis of development, adoption and implementation of the Civil Society Development Program and the Program Action Plan; analysis of the organizational and legal support for the implementation of the National Strategy at the regional level.

Participants of the meeting also discussed preparation and conducting survey questionnaires in the regions, agreed on the survey’s guidelines.

Also consulting, training and information activities of experts in the framework of the project were discussed.  The Association implements together with the coalition of regional experts from 24 regions and the city of Kyiv.

A meeting of the regional experts was held by the NGO “The Association for the Promotion of Self-Organization of the Population” within the framework of the project “Public Support for the Implementation of the National Strategy for Promoting Civil Society 2016-2020” at the Regional Level, which is being implemented with the support of the UNDP in Ukraine.
