
Leaders of NGOs, coming from rural and remote regions of Rivne, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts exchanged best practices of democratization at the II All-Ukrainian Forum of Civil Society Organizations, held on March 23-24, 2018 in Lviv.
“UNDP-supported network of the CSO-hubs has been constantly developing NGOs from different regions of Ukraine, while simultaneously strengthening its own potential. I deeply believe that in 2018 the network will become a distinguished leader in providing a variety of services (training, consultations, etc.) for local civil society organizations across Ukraine. As for today, more than 250 public organizations are our regular customers. The cross-cutting elements is our work with civil society organizations are the human-rights based approach, development and conduct of advocacy campaigns, establishment of an effective cooperation with local authorities and business”, - shares Andriy Vyshniak, Chairman of the Coordination Council of the CSO-hubs network.
More than 100 participants of the Forum attended workshops on financial sustainability, conflict resolution, communication strategy, UNDP-developed approach to organizational development.
The forum took place within the framework of the EU project “Ukrainian Regional Platform for Civic Initiatives”, which was implemented by the CSO-hubs of “the first wave”.
In 2017, 9 hubs provided consultations to 1751 NGOs from all over Ukraine. In 2018, the CSO-hubs network has expanded: 6 NGOs joined the network. Volyn Institute of Law, Modern Format, Podil Legal League, Institute of Analysis and Advocacy, Source of Hope and Economic Development Agency joined the network.
