
Over the course of one month, from 22 July to 19 August 2016, UNDP experts and representatives of the newly established National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) embarked on a tour to ten oblasts to present the e-asset declaration system for public officials.

Rivne, 15-16 August 2016 – A series of regional round tables for judges, prosecutors, and lawyers held in Rivne to present and discuss the Special report of the Ombudsperson on results of the pilot monitoring of implementation of the new Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine by Kyiv courts.

Over 40 representatives of 10 Ukrainian state institutions (primarily of the law enforcement bodies) including the Security Service of Ukraine, the General Prosecutor's Office, and the National Police, upgraded their knowledge of effective adherence to core international and regional treaties on prevention of torture.

The Ukrainian delegation comprising representatives of state institutions spearheaded the discussion regarding Ukraine's commitments, successful practices and areas for progress vis-à-vis commitments under the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.

Quality of the software that underpins the Unified Register of Declarations of Persons Authorized to Fulfil State and Local Government Functions was assured twice – both times though independent testing.

Code for the community" recently launched by CN OPORA encourages civic activists to analyse the data made available by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on its Open Data Portal. Information on the Parliament's organizational structure, financial and legislative framework, draft laws, plenary sessions and MPs of Ukraine can now be easily accessed in a well structured format.
